Masebolai Thubisi holds a B.A and B.A(Hons) with the University of Limpopo and an M.A. degree with the North-West University. She is a freelance translator, editor, proofreader and interpreter for both government and private sectors, and Chairperson for the Setswana National Language Body. Masebolai is the author of several books including Lefoko la Bagolo (Traditional Narrative/Folklore) and Dipheko tsa Bantsho (Traditional Narrative). She has also delivered papers covering all genres – including poetry, short stories, and the issues and challenges facing the Setswana Language and the Batswana community in the country as well as the continent. She is proficient in Setswana, Sesotho, Sepedi, Afrikaans and English.
